I have been absent for quite a while.  Had the stomach flue and that really put me down for about two weeks.  My mind has been a whirl lately.  Last week I was really doing great but this week not so much.  I have discovered more arthritis growth on my left side of my foot and it is making it really hard to wear certain shoes.  I have been trying to just spend a couple of hours cleaning then doing something fun for the day.  Lately everything I cook is not good enough for Mr.  We have been married almost 50 years and why is he complaining now?  I have been working on a fun project which I will put pictures of later.  The good Lord has blessed me so much lately and I am feeling guilty for being such a hum bug.  We lost a great person last week.  Our cousin Fred went to meet God.  He was so wonderful and will be so greatly missed.

The older we get the harder it is to lose people we love.  I pray everyone has a good week and I am going to try to perk up and enjoy the rest of the week.

  1. We all tend to cook the same meals because it is the easy thing to do. I signed up for one of those meal plans where they send you the ingredients for three meals for two people with really good instructions on how to cook and serve them We do it once a month and I enjoy making them and serving them in the way the picture shows. It is like a restaurant meal at home and I enjoy it. I have even gotten my Retired Man to cook a few. For three days a month, we eat grand. I have also used the recipes and gotten the ingredients at a supermarket and the cost is about the same. It is a gift I give myself.

  2. Maybe he is just going through a grumpy time. This might not be about food. Sorry for your loss. I can understand the arthritis thing. I wear only Dansko clogs or sandals. I cal the two hours I am in church and wear normal shoes my two hours of religious hell.
